50th Anniversary of the Commission’s Traineeship Programme

On 20 October 2010, the European Commission organized a conference in Brussels to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Commission’s traineeship programme. The main purpose of the conference was to highlight the dynamism and successes of a programme that has allowed more than 40,000 young university graduates to gain their first work experience at the European Commission, familiarize themselves with its functioning, and learn to understand the challenges of European integration.
