Belgium Supports the Creation of an Economic and Monetary Union

The Prime Minister of Belgium, Gaston Eyskens, supports the gradual creation of a European economic and monetary union. This is confirmed through his letter to the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, Pierre Werner, who had also drafted the corresponding plan (known as the Werner Plan).
