Beyen’s Support for the Design of General Economic European Integration

The Dutch Foreign Minister, Johan Willem Beyen, in light of the failure to establish the European Defense Community, in a memorandum to his counterparts from Belgium and Luxembourg, Paul-Henri Spaak and Joseph Bech respectively, refers to the design of a general economic European integration, under the framework of a common market.
