Case Decision Les Verts Regarding Annulment Actions of Acts of the European Parliament

23/4/1986

The Court issues a decision on Case 294/83 “Les Verts”, concerning the annulment action of acts of the European Parliament. According to the decision, an annulment action can be brought against measures issued by the European Parliament that may have legal effects on third parties. This decision stems from the reasoning that the European Economic Community is a community of law where both member states and its institutions are regularly checked for whether their actions comply with the Treaty.
