Celebration of the Tenth Anniversary of the Treaties of Rome (29/05/1967) and European Summit (30/05/1967), in Rome

29/5/1967

In March 1967, events were held to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Treaties of Rome. The Treaty of Rome, which established the European Economic Community (EEC), was signed in Rome on March 25, 1957, and came into force on January 1, 1958. The Treaty establishing the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) was signed on the same day, and therefore these two Treaties are collectively known as the Treaties of Rome.
