Conference on the Stability Pact in Europe

21/3/1995

On the initiative of the EU and following a proposal from the French side, the Final Conference on the Stability Pact in Europe is taking place in Paris (March 20-21). All countries belonging to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) are participating, while the Council of Europe is represented by its Secretary General. At the end of the Conference, the participating countries decide to strengthen their cooperative relations, and all their agreements are incorporated into the Stability Pact. This Pact is supervised by the OSCE and generally serves as a model for preventive diplomacy.
