Cooperation Agreement between the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions

A Cooperation Agreement is signed between the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions. Their cooperation protocol comes to replace the implementation provisions of April 18, 1995. As stated in their joint declaration by the President of the European Commission, R. Prodi, and the President of the Committee of the Regions, J. Chabert, the purpose of this cooperation is the “improvement of consultation procedures with the Committee of the Regions and its closer participation in the Community political dialogue and in information and communication policy”.
