Council Regulation of 23 July 1985 on the Integrated Mediterranean Programmes

A special Community action is envisaged for the benefit of the southern regions of the Community in its current composition. This action will aim at improving the socio-economic structures of these regions, and particularly of Greece, in order to facilitate their adaptation to the new conditions created by the enlargement under the best possible terms. This action is implemented through the Community’s contribution to the realization of the Integrated Mediterranean Programmes, with a maximum duration of seven years, which are submitted to the Commission. This regulation comes into force on 1 August 1985. It expires on 31 December 1993.
