Council Regulation on the Strengthening of the Surveillance of Budgetary Positions and the Surveillance and Coordination of Economic Policies

This regulation establishes the rules governing the content, submission, examination and monitoring of stability and convergence programmes within the framework of multilateral surveillance by the Council, in order to prevent, at an early stage, the occurrence of excessive government deficits and to promote the surveillance and coordination of economic policies.
