Court Decision Regarding the Implementation of Treaty Obligations

16/6/1966

In Case 57/65, Lütticke v Hauptzollamt Saarlouis, the Court in its judgment states that any obligation provided for by the Treaty towards the Member States, insofar as its implementation is not subject to further obligations or measures either by the Community or by the Member States, can produce direct effects both in the relations between Member States and between persons subject to their jurisdiction.
