On August 11, 1969, a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the member states was held at the Palais des Congrès in Brussels. The Council examined the problems created by the French Government’s decision to change the parity of the French franc, which resulted in the suspension of the value of the unit of account used for the common agricultural policy, as defined by the Council Regulation on the conditions for changing the value of this unit.
