Establishment of the European Free Trade Association

The European Free Trade Association has been established by certain European countries that do not belong to the European Economic Community (Austria, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Norway) with the aim of reducing barriers and increasing trade in goods and services among them. Today, its members are Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
