European Council of Brussels, 16-17/07/1975

The proceedings of the European Council of Brussels resulted in the election of the European Parliament by universal suffrage, the passport union, special rights for citizens of member states, strengthening the coordination of economic and fiscal policies, closer cooperation with Portugal, and proposals for action towards developing countries.
