24/9/2023

The Data Governance Act begins its implementation. The Regulation establishes a new European way of data governance based on increasing trust in data sharing.
Its goal is to create a secure environment for data sharing across sectors and member states for the benefit of society and the economy. The Data Governance Act also allows innovative data intermediaries to act as trusted entities in the data economy.
The Regulation also establishes the European Data Innovation Board. It will issue guidelines for the development of common European data spaces and will identify standards and interoperability requirements for cross-sectoral data sharing.
