Final Plenary Session of the Convention on the Future of Europe

The last Plenary Session of the Convention on the Future of Europe was held, concluding 16 months of work on the European Constitution. The Convention held its first Plenary Session in February 2002 and convened 26 times, with a total of 1812 speeches representing approximately 5000 minutes of speaking time. During the proceedings, about 6000 amendments were submitted to the draft Treaty establishing a European Constitution.
