First European Ombudsman

The European Parliament appoints Finnish Jacob Söderman as the first European Union Ombudsman to investigate complaints about instances of maladministration in the EU institutions, bodies, offices, and agencies. Any person who is a citizen of a member state or lives in an EU member state can submit a complaint to the European Ombudsman.
