First Official Meeting of the New Commission under the Presidency of Romano Prodi

The new Prodi Commission held its first official meeting, called to address three key challenges: the enlargement of the European Union and how it affects relations with neighboring countries, the reform of institutions and the planning of the next Intergovernmental Conference, as well as ensuring economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development.
