First Vaccine against COVID-19

21/12/2020

The European Medicines Agency approves the first vaccine against COVID-19. This scientific achievement is accomplished in less than a year after the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. EU member states begin their vaccination campaigns six days later, on December 27. The elderly and healthcare workers are the population groups vaccinated first. Soon, however, there will be enough vaccines for the entire EU population.
