Germany’s Integration into the Union in Three Phases after the Fall of the Berlin Wall

The Heads of State and Government of the twelve member states, at the extraordinary European Council in Dublin, decide on the future of Germany, incorporating it fully into the European family after its reunification. This integration took place in three phases: the first was the interim adaptation phase, the second was the transitional phase, and the third was the final phase.
