Judicial Decision Referencing the Supremacy of Community Law

In the Court’s decision regarding Case C-453/99, Courage Ltd v Bernard Crehan and Bernard Crehan v Courage Ltd and others, it is stated that “as established by settled case-law, it is incumbent upon the national courts, which must apply the provisions of Community law within the framework of their jurisdiction, to ensure the full effectiveness of those provisions and to protect the rights they confer on individuals”.
