Meeting between Michel Barnier and Dominic Raab for the post-Brexit Era

Michel Barnier, Chief Negotiator and Head of the European Commission’s Task Force for the Preparation and Conduct of Negotiations with the United Kingdom under Article 50 of the TEU, received a visit from Dominic Raab, British Minister for Exiting the European Union, in Brussels. Brexit is the popular term for the future withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. In the referendum of 23 June 2016, 51.9% of the participating UK electorate (with a turnout of 72.2% of the electorate) voted in favor of leaving the European Union. On 29 March 2017, the British Government invoked Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union.
