Official Application for Greece’s Accession to the EC

On June 12, 1975, Stefanos Stathatos, Head of the Greek Mission to the EC, submits to Brendan Dillon, Permanent Representative of Ireland to the EC, the official request for Greece’s accession to the European Communities, of which Ireland holds the rotating Presidency. Stefanos Stathatos subsequently met with François-Xavier Ortoli, President of the Commission of the European Communities.
