Participation of Kadri Simson, European Commissioner, in the EU-Algeria High-Level Energy Dialogue

On October 5, 2023, Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy, co-chaired the 5th annual EU-Algeria High-Level Energy Dialogue with Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mining of Algeria, in Brussels, Belgium. The dialogue followed the Commissioner’s visit to Algeria last year and marks the continuation of the EU-Algeria strategic partnership in the energy sector, which covers cooperation in the areas of natural gas, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy market integration. The discussions particularly focused on methane emissions and renewable hydrogen as potential areas for further cooperation.
