Polish Referendum on the Country’s Accession to the EU

On June 7 and 8, Polish citizens voted on EU accession. The polling stations (24,800 in total and 818 in Warsaw alone) were open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on both days. The vast majority of voters voted in favor of accession – 77.41%. The minimum turnout was set at 50% by the Polish Authorities and reached 58.82% when the polling stations closed.
