Press Release on Council and European Commission Relations

With the “empty chair” crisis pending for the last 7 months, a press release is published, following an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Six founding member states in Luxembourg, under the presidency of Pierre Werner, regarding the decisions taken on the evolution of relations between the Council and the European Commission. France returned to its seat in the Council so that the Community could smoothly continue its functions.
