Resolution of the European Parliament towards a “European Union”

A Resolution is adopted by the European Parliament regarding its guidelines on the reform of the Treaties and the establishment of a European Union. This Resolution was approved with 258 votes in favor, 37 against, and 21 abstentions. Based on the work of Altiero Spinelli, this Resolution follows the decision of July 9, 1981, to initiate relevant legal and political processes within a new framework aimed at creating a European Union.
