Signing of the Bonn Convention

Anthony Eden, British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Robert Schuman, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dean Acheson, U.S. Secretary of State, and Konrad Adenauer, German Federal Chancellor, sign the Peace Convention between West Germany and the Western Powers in Bonn.
The aim of this peace convention between the FRG and the Western Powers was to grant autonomy to West Germany once again, as the West German Authorities agreed to participate in the European Defense Community (EDC) plan.
