On September 13, 2023, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, delivered her State of the European Union 2023 Address before the members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, and presented the Commission’s political priorities for the next and final year of her term.
She focused on the damage caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and reaffirmed the European Union’s continued support for Ukraine.
