Sweden’s Letter for Accession Negotiations with the EEC

Sweden, through a letter, requests the initiation of accession negotiations with the EEC. The letter was submitted by the Swedish Minister of Trade, Gunnar Lange, on behalf of his Government, to the acting President of the Council of the European Communities. The letter also states that Sweden is ready to negotiate with the European Coal and Steel Community and the European Atomic Energy Community.
