On July 24 and 25, 1967, an Agriculture Council was held under the presidency of the competent German Secretary Fritz Neef, at the Federal Ministry of Finance of Germany and acting President of the Council. The Council approved the text of the response to the Government of the Kingdom of Norway and decided to seek the opinion of the Commission. The Council exchanged views on the main problems that remain pending, which arise from relations with the Maghreb countries. The Council examined the problems arising from the Commission’s proposals for accelerating the assistance of the [then] European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund by introducing a system of advances from 1967. The Council adopted a Decision to extend the deadlines provided for in the agreements on quality wheat concluded with the United States of America and Canada.
