The Conference on the Future of Europe Concludes with Promises for EU Change

The Presidents of the European Parliament, Council, and Commission receive the final report of the Conference on the Future of Europe and commit to giving it due follow-up.
In a ceremony in Strasbourg, the presidents of the EU institutions receive the document, which includes 49 proposals, with more than 300 measures, approved by the Conference plenary, based on citizens’ ideas and recommendations.
In the weeks that follow, the Parliament’s plenary calls for a revision of the EU Treaties, so that the EU can act faster and more decisively in various areas. MEPs call on the European Council to start the process of amending the Treaties.
