The Delors Report is Released to the Public

The “Delors Report” is published, which refers to the implementation of the Economic and Monetary Union through the completion of three preparatory stages. In the first stage, the main goal is the convergence of economic performance among member states. During the second stage, the introduction of the European System of Central Banks is proposed to create the appropriate conditions for the introduction of the third and final stage where the single community currency will be put into circulation.
