The ECHO Flight Service in the Democratic Republic of Congo

From August 1 to 12, 2018, the EU’s humanitarian air service (ECHO Flight) transported over 7,000 kilograms of medical and logistical supplies and 26 passengers for partners involved in the Ebola response in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. Part of the supplies was used to set up an isolation and treatment unit for Ebola patients.
The flight service is free for EU humanitarian partners and aims to reach populations in need in remote and insecure areas.
