The European Parliament’s Position on Climate

28/11/2019

It’s time to accelerate global climate action. In this spirit, the European Parliament has declared a climate emergency. What does this mean? The EU will play an even more significant role in combating gas emissions and global warming, and all its policies will align with the commitment to zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Moreover, climate action is developing from the bottom up! 310 students from 10 EU countries presented a “European declaration on the rights of the planet and living beings” and received commendation from the European Parliament.
