The Noordwijk Conference

The Foreign Ministers of the six ECSC countries meet in Noordwijk, near The Hague, to receive and examine the progress report of the Spaak Committee. The Spaak Committee was established at the Messina Conference (June 1-3, 1955) and was tasked with determining the means that would contribute to European integration efforts. In a press release following their meeting, they refer to the significant results of this Committee regarding the common market, transport, and energy (nuclear and non-nuclear).
