The Parliament Supports the Framework for Enhancing Employment and Social Cohesion

On the occasion of the European Council’s initiative to introduce guidelines towards a new strategic goal of the EU in matters of employment, economy and social cohesion within the framework of a knowledge economy, the President of the European Parliament, Nicole Fontaine, in her speech at the European Council in Lisbon, welcomes this move.
