The Unified Economic Policy Committee is Operational

The Unified Economic Policy Committee begins its operation, with the main responsibility of coordinating the short-term and medium-term economic policies of the member states of the EC. This Committee was formed following the merger of the Short-Term Economic Policy Committee, the Fiscal Policy Committee, and the Medium-Term Economic Policy Committee by Decision of the Council of the European Communities.
