The Werner Group on the Agenda of the Meeting of the Committee of Governors of Central Banks

The Committee of Governors of the Central Banks of the member states of the European Economic Community (EEC) convenes in Basel, under the Presidency of Baron Ansiaux, to discuss the initial meetings of the Werner group. The Werner group was responsible for studying the gradual introduction of an economic and monetary union in the EEC.
