Visit of European Commissioners Ylva Johansson and Olivér Várhelyi to Tunisia

Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, and Olivér Várhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, traveled to Tunis. They met with Kaïs Saïed, President of Tunisia, and Hichem Mechichi, appointed Prime Minister of Tunisia. The purpose of this visit was to reaffirm the shared commitment to a strong partnership between Tunisia and the European Union. They discussed their political and economic relations and their cooperation in the field of migration. They also participated in a memorial ceremony for the victims of the 2015 attacks at the Bardo Museum.
