2005

The Treaty of Accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Union is Signed.

The Treaty of Accession with Bulgaria and Romania was signed at a special ceremony held in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The signing of the Treaty paved the way for the ratification processes that formalized their accession to the Union on January 1, 2007.

The Commission Sets Procedures for the Dialogue on the Future of the EU

With the discussion on the future of the European Union having started on March 7, 2001, the European Commission, on April 25, issues a communication with arrangements regarding the conduct of the discussions, mentions the stakeholders who will participate, proposes actions, and also sets their budget.

2023

Disbursement of Economic Support Package to Ukraine

The Commission proceeds with the disbursement of the third tranche of economic support to Ukraine, following Russia’s invasion, amounting to 1.5 billion euros as part of the Macro-financial Assistance (MFA)+ package, totaling up to 18 billion euros so far.
