The EU Supports National Reconciliation in Mozambique
Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, visited Mozambique to participate in the signing ceremony of the historic peace agreement between the Government of Mozambique and RENAMO, the main opposition party.
Federica Mogherini emphasized that the EU will continue to support the implementation of this agreement with 60 million euros and underlined the EU’s long-term commitment to assist Mozambique in the country’s reconciliation and democratic consolidation.
